Hello, mandolin students! Join us for an exciting instructional workshop on July 6th at 1:00pm CST featuring amazing Brazilian mandolinist Ian Coury. This workshop is titled “Latin Rhythms: From Brazil to the Caribbean” and we will study exactly that! In this 3 hour workshop, I will teach about rhythms and playing styles from the Caribbean that I have adapted to the mandolin, including son cuban and bolero, and Ian will share his expertise of Brazilian rhythms like samba, choro, and bossa nova. If you play mandolin and like latin music, you won’t want to miss this special opportunity!
